Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Lawyer to join a great team of lawyers in their downtown Calgary boutique firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal issues. As a Family Law Lawyer, you will be responsible for representing clients in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and spousal support.
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters
- Provide legal advice and guidance
- Prepare legal documents, including court filings and agreements
- Negotiate settlements
- Attend court hearings and trials
Qualifications
- LLB or JD degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
- Strong knowledge of family law in Alberta
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Minimum 4 years of family law experience;
- Strong legal analytical and drafting skills;
- Experience in representing clients in court and Alternative Dispute Resolution settings;
- Strong time and practice management skills;
- Ability to work independently as well as being comfortable working in a professional, collegial and collaborative environment.
